A.Quote and Author

B. Meaning

a. “Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one.” This quote shows that no matter a family is called, a family is needed by everyone because they shield a person from being completely lonely inside of this world in which some people choose to display negativity. In order to counter the negativity, a person comes home to a family; a family which isn’t perfect, but they are your family. A family is there to listen even when no one else will, a clan that is dependable is one that is essential to a person’s life.

b. “I don't care how poor a man is; if he has family, he's rich.” This statement shows that even if a man is not rich with money, it does not mean that this person is poor, because they have something worth so much more than money. They have a family, one that they can depend on when times are tough, and when a man just needs someone, such as their family to spend quality time with and chat with. A man does not need money to be wealthy, as long as they have a family or a network that is priceless to them.

C. Relevance

a. This quote is relevant because a person will always need a family to depend on. Without a family, a person would not be sane as they would be lonely without a network of people to talk to share their feelings. A family help each other live through the harsh events that reality brings forth.

b. No matter how poor a person is, but as long as they have healthy family that is dependable, a person can work through their struggles of not having any money. They’ll soon realize that their wealth is not about what they have in their pockets, but it is about what a man is born with or has created. Family is unmatched to money as it is more valuable because love and care can not be bought with money.
