This quote refers to how in life as a person we tend to change. We change our life styles, our personalities, our locations, our looks, and the people we associate with. But no matter how much you change, you still came from a family to start with and in the end you'll still belong to that family. No matter how much you change your self, you'll never be able to change the fact that you belong to a family. You can disconnect yourself from that family and decide to associate with different people. But those people tend to become close to you (making them your new family), and you still end with a family- maybe not the one you started with, but still a family of some sort.                                                                                                                     --"Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one." This statement is saying that no matter who you are, you will always need a family. Family is the one thing that is a never changing factor in our lives- a family is concrete. A family sticks with you no matter how many times you've messed up. A family is always going to forgive you and open their arms wide for you. No one's going to be there for you when you're having a midlife crisis, like your family will. Living alone in this world is tough, you need people to lean on- those people that are willing to let you borrow their shoulders are your family. Any man, women, child, old or young need a family to get through the obstacles of life.   C.    Both of these quotes have a relevance to today, because we all tend to socialize ourselves by networks, hobbies, or such. We all tend to turn to our most trusted friends or family members for advice or just for a shoulder to cry on. Without 'family' we would be all alone, living in a dark world that just kept getting darker because there'd be no one to pull us out. We depend on our families to do so much for us, that we sometimes don't notice how much effect it has on us- until it's too late to appreciate all they do for us because we've lost them forever. No matters what people think, the truth is everyone enters the world with a family to celebrate their birth and everyone leaves the world with a family to morn over their death.
